This letter serves as a statement of support for Alyssa Pfluger. Alyssa interned with the Alliance for Water Efficiency (AWE) during the summer of 2013. I am a Project Coordinator at the Alliance for Water Efficiency, and oversaw her work on several different projects related to our fundraising and communication initiatives. I also served as her manager during her time with our organization.

 

Throughout her time with AWE, Alyssa demonstrated strong communication skills and an aptitude for delivering messages in a concise, articulate manner. Supporting our social media presence was a significant component of her internship and she developed content that was relevant for our diverse social media communities. Within just a few weeks, and she was able to manage the development of our social media calendar with minimal revisions, demonstrating that she grasped AWE’s voice and role within the industry. Her ability to conduct thorough research, review findings and deliver high-quality and accessible content was also evidenced through a number of projects she completed for AWE, including development of a news brief for our website, and web-based materials for one of our member programs. Finally, Alyssa’s positive attitude, enthusiasm for her assignments and professional demeanor also made working with her a pleasant experience for our entire staff.
